Business Beware is the voice for all small business owners where they can forewarn each other about unruly customers and collect money they're owed. Save your business time, money and headaches when dealing with customers who have become a problem.
This is the best way to explain what we mean by this:

Most likely you have dealt with a customer like this before and if you haven't then you're one of the lucky ones. Most customers are good, it's just that small percentage of those that seek out a business to make their life miserable.
Everyone is a customer at some point and have you ever been rude to someone because you were having a lousy day or something recently happened in your life that causes you to react? Guarantee you can. Just remember that when you deal with some customers because you never know what's going on in their life. BUT if they act like what we mentioned above, it's most likely you will need to fire that CustoMonster.
An example of a potential CustoMonster...if the first thing a customer does when you walk up is hand you "their contract," you need to turn around and run. Why? Because they want to call the shots, even if you do everything 110% perfectly they will still find something wrong with it and most likley they are setting you up to fail.
See an example of a real contract that a customer handed us once to understand what we're talking about: Page 1, Page 2 & Page 3.
We didn't even have to pre-qualify them, he told us all we needed to know about him. We let him know that we would not sign his contract and that he could sign ours instead. He still wanted us to sign his contract and told us he had been doing this a lot longer than we have (although we have 30+ years experience of owning businesses). After some things he said it was apparent we did not want to hire him for our company and we let him know that he should find another contractor to do business with.
You have to decide who you want to work with and you need to pre-qualify your customers before you work with them. Customers do the same thing when they look into your business or before they hire you. You want quality customers over quantity.
